DESCRIPTION:“Uncovering Stories of Hope: Narrative Approaches to Spiritual Care” – Lecture by Dr David Crawley \nAt first glance\, indigenous cultural traditions\, postmodern therapies\, and practices of spiritual care may seem to have little in common. However\, drawing on his New Zealand cultural context\, his training in narrative therapy and his work as a spiritual director\, Dr David Crawley suggests that resonances between these areas speak to the storied and relational character of meaning and identity. \nBuilding on these ideas\, and drawing on insights from narrative therapy\, this presentation will offer practical suggestions for helping people uncover stories of hope as they wrestle with the meanings and mysteries of their lives in the context of spiritual care. \nPlaces limited.
