SUMMARY:Dive Deeper: Exploring Spirituality & Ways of Prayer
DESCRIPTION:This is a group for adults age 30-45 approximately who wish to explore contemporary spirituality and spiritual practice. The group has a contemplative approach\, drawing on Christian spirituality and Eastern practices such as mindfulness. The aim is to help you find a way of prayer that works for you and that will cultivate inner awareness\, stillness\, and insight. Each session will introduce a way of prayer or meditation. Forms of prayer to be explored include: \nFranciscan prayer – Autumn reflection – Connecting with the Inner Child – Scripture and Imagination – Praying the Psalms – Cultivating joy – Prayer and nature – Centering prayer – Praying with the Book of Kells – Music and prayer. \nThe group will meet for 10 sessions; feel free to drop in at any stage. \nDates 2017-2018: Oct 18; Nov 1\, 15; Christmas date TBC; Jan 17; Feb 7\, 21; March 7\, 21. \nTime: 7.30-9.00pm. \nLocation: The Jesuit Centre of Spirituality and Culture\, 6 Ely Place\, Sea Road\, Galway. \nCost: Suggested donation €5 per session. \nContact: Amy Hallett at 086 7330905 or Kieran Hayes at 087 7433467.
