Trinity College Dublin is seeking to appoint a theologian of international reputation to the Loyola Chair of Catholic Theology, located in the newly established Loyola Institute. The successful candidate will have a strong and significant interest in advancing education and research in the Catholic theological tradition, a history of scholarly achievement and a commitment to on-going research. He or she will be tasked with the mission of the Loyola Institute to engage in considered academic reflection on Christian faith, social justice and contemporary culture. Vision and leadership skills will be particularly important for the task of building up the academic programme of the Loyola Institute.
 
The post offers an exciting opportunity to provide innovative academic leadership in research and teaching in the Catholic theological tradition, and to exercise a leading role in building up the academic activity of this Institute in its foundation years.
