This series of talks will examine the lives and writings of some of the famous religious movements and individuals from the Dutch, Flemish and German schools of Christian mysticism. Participants will be introduced to the Beguine Movement, Hadewijch of Antwerp, Jan van Ruusbroec, Meister Eckhart, the Devotio Moderna Movement and to Thomas à Kempis’ The Imitation of Christ.
