The people of Venezuela need our support now.

Over 3,000 people have lost their lives; 50,000 remain missing. The UN is providing 10,000 body bags to Venezuela amid fears of a surge in the death toll.

It is truly heartbreaking but there is hope. The communal efforts of the people themselves to free those who are waiting to be rescued is indeed touching, and your solidarity can do even more to bring relief to those who suffer.

“When tragedy strikes your country while you are far from home, it can be heartbreaking to feel unable to help.

In those moments, the empathy and generosity of the people around you bring real comfort. It is also reassuring to know that support will reach those who need it most.

My deepest thanks to IJI for this campaign, and to everyone who is able to donate or join in prayer for Venezuela. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Gracias de todo corazón.”

— Sonia Obregón, Secretary at Gardiner Street Church, originally from Venezuela
