Pray with the Pope: For the proper use of wealth
In his prayer intention for November 2026, distributed by the Popes Worldwide Prayer Network », Pope Leo invites us to pray “For the good use of wealth, so that we may learn to live with a detached heart, capable of recognizing that every good is meant to be shared, and to transform our resources into instruments of fraternity, service, and mercy.”
Pope Leo encourages people to think about how they use the things they have, reminding us that our money, time, talents and opportunities are gifts that should be shared with others. He warns that becoming too focused on having more can make us selfish and cause us to overlook those who are struggling or in need. Instead, he invites us to look beyond our own wants, live more simply and use what we have to help others. The message is a reminder that true wealth is not about how much we own or accumulate, but about how generously we share what we have and how we put it at the service of others.
