Holy Week, Easter: events and liturgies

Irish Jesuits are offering Masses and resources for Holy Week and Easter 2025. These include a movie club at Belfast Jesuit Centre, Holy Week schedule at Gardiner Street Parish and Lenten prayer sessions at Manresa Centre for Spirituality. See below for more detail with access to websites.

Holy Week Schedule
Passion Sunday, 13 April – Mass at 6pm, (Vigil) 9.15am, 11am and 7.30pm.
Blessing of the palms at Vigil and 11am Masses. Palms will be distributed at each Mass.
Spy Wednesday, 16 April – 11.30 am – Lenten reflection – John Sullivan Room
Holy Thursday, 17 April – 11.30am-12.30pm- Sacrament of Reconciliation (confessions) 7.30pm Mass of the Lord’s Supper followed by Holy Hour at the Sacred Heart Chapel. (No 11 am or 1pm Mass)
Good Friday, 18 April – 12pm Stations of the Cross in the church, 3 pm Liturgy of the Passion
Easter Sunday, 20 April – Mass at 9.15 & 11 am – (No 7.30 pm Mass)

- Monday 14 April: 7pm – Belfast Jesuit Centre will host a special screening of ‘Even the Rain’ a compelling film set in Bolivia that weaves together the fight for justice and themes of sacrifice, redemption, and solidarity. In the spirit of Ignatian reflection, the film echoes the Passion of Christ, inviting us to see God’s presence in those who suffer and challenging us to discern how we can respond with love and justice.
