Remembering the ‘saints with no name’

The first and second of November are important back-to-back feast days in the Church’s liturgical calendar. All Saints on Friday 1 November this year, (2024) celebrates all saints and martyrs, known and mostly unknown, throughout Christian history. All Souls on 2 November marks the time of year when people traditionally remember their loved ones who have died and pray for them and all the souls of the faithful departed.
