yomkippur_01On Thursday, 16 September, the eve of Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, Tom Casey (in his role as Director of the Cardinal Bea Centre for Judaic Studies in Rome) gave a special lecture at the world centre of Conservative Judaism, the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, located just a few blocks north of Columbia University. The title of the lecture was “Teshuvah [repentance] as a common element in the lives of Jewish and Christian thinkers of the twentieth century”. Tom is pictured here with Professor Burton L.
