Saint Brigid: Woman for Today
January 29, 2025 in Featured News, News

Since 2023 there has been a new annual Irish public holiday to mark the feast of Saint Brigid. It falls on the first Monday of February each year.
In this episode from the RNN archives (2016) Eileen Good speaks with Brenda Kindregan of ‘Cairde Bride’ a group of men and women who are inspired by the values of St. Brigid and work together to promote the spiritual and cultural heritage of Saint Brigid. Brenda explains the importance of cultivating the customs of Saint Brigid today and why we need to continue telling her stories. She says Brigid is a woman for today and not just long ago.
