Insights for COP28

Pedro Walpole SJ, an Irish Jesuit missionary and environmental scientist in the Philippines, is attending COP 28 this year, which takes place on Thursday 30 November and ends on Tuesday 12 December. In a recent interview, he spoke with Pat Coyle about his concerns for the planet.

Pedro warns that we are in trouble. The best people to engage with are not the experts, he says, but the children and indigenous people. He says that the ecological project is not just about the environment but also about how people relate to one another.
