Faith and justice

August 7, 2024 in Niall's Notes

The Church teaches that the promotion of faith and justice go hand in hand — love of God and love of neighbour as Jesus put it. As Jesuits we are committed to doing both.

All Things New young adult retreat

At the end of June over 40 young adults came to Gonzaga College, Dublin for the first ever All Things New retreat. We explored three themes over the three days: Created, Saved and Called. You can get a taste of it on our Instagram https://www.instagram.com/reel/C89sbZHIuKn/

Social Justice

The Jesuits embrace the Church’s mission to promote social justice. Recently our friends at the Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice have been protesting against efforts to delay and dilute Dublin City Council’s new transport plan. https://www.jcfj.ie/2024/07/02/why-we-cant-have-nice-things-dublin-edition/

Faber Companions

The Faber Companions are a group of young adults who dedicate time to prayer, community and discerning God’s will for their lives. Find out more about them here.

As always, you are welcome to reply to this email if you would like to know more about discerning your vocation. Being a Jesuit is not for everyone, but if it is for you it will bring you great joy.

Every blessing,

Fr Niall
