All things new
Young adult retreat ‘All things new’ is set to return in June 2025.
Earlier this year over forty young adults attended the first ever ‘All things new’ retreat in Gonzaga College SJ Dublin. The retreat was lead by Jesuit Youth Leaders and took place from 28 June – 30 June 2024.
Fr Niall Leahy said “The retreat was a result of a collaboration between the young adult ministry in Gardiner Street Church and the Faber companions, it is my great hope that this will become a flagship annual event for Jesuit adult ministry in the province. God’s creation was certainly renewed over the whole weekend.”
Activities included prayer, talks and discussion panels under the three key themes of “being created, being saved, and being called”. Music played a key part too, with music during prayer sessions and a sing-song on Saturday evening, and on the final evening two fires were lit and plenty of dancing and singing took place.
Relaxation and contemplation were also part of the weekend. It was a chance for many to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones too.
