Pray with the Pope: For priests in crisis
In his prayer intention for April 2026, distributed by the Popes Worldwide Prayer Network », Pope Leo invites us to pray: “For priests experiencing a crisis, that they might experience the nearness of God and his people, and rediscover hope and joy in their vocation.”
In his video message, Pope Leo asks us to reflect on the lives and ministry of priests. He notes, “In the spirit of the Gospel, we are invited not only to pray for priests, but also to recognize our shared responsibility in supporting, encouraging, and accompanying them.”
He continues, “We must be mindful of their humanity, their challenges, and their vocation. May we ask the Lord to strengthen them, console them in moments of difficulty, and renew in them the joy of their calling.”
