Sacred Space Advent retreat
The popular online prayer website Sacred Space » will publish its Advent retreat on Sunday 1 December 2024. The theme of this year’s retreat, which has been translated into multiple languages, is ‘We Need Never Walk Alone’. It will finish on Christmas Eve.
The author of the retreat is Helen Gallivan, co-founder of the online prayer platform New Pilgrim Path », a website that offers spiritual resources for Christians of all denominations. Helen has contributed to the prayer advices segment of Sacred Space for many years.
The online retreat will include a daily scripture reading, reflection on the scripture, a prayer and an image that reflects the theme of the day. It also features a new audio link which allows users to listen to the retreat readings narrated by the author.
Commenting on the launch of the Advent retreat, Ciara Ó Catháin, office administrator and content editor of Sacred Space says, “The retreat allows us to pause, reflect and deepen our relationship with God as we approach the birth of Jesus. Each day, we are invited to rest in the loving arms of our God, trusting that he is waiting for us.” She adds: “The Sacred Space family are united in prayer all over the world. We particularly remember those who are living in areas of conflict and pray for peace in their lands”
