- For the first time in seven years, Belvedere, competing against 67 other teams, has won the UCD Literary and Historical Society Schools Mace, the most coveted senior debating trophy in Ireland. Johnny Byrne and Mark A. Kelly were the overall winners.
- Magis Ireland are holding A Day-Long Inter-Faith Experience for Young People in their offices in Gardiner St and The Lantern Centre, Synge St. on Saturday 12 November, 9.30 am -7.30pm. It’s open to young people of different faiths and backgrounds as well as young Christians, so that they can illuminate something of the Divine for each other whilst discovering a deeper appreciation of the mystery and richness of their own tradition. It will involve social and cultural events together, visiting houses of Worship, experiencing liturgy, reflection and prayer. Cost is by donation.
- The Annual Memorial Mass for Deceased Irish Jesuit Missionaries will take place at The Jesuit Community Chapel, Milltown Park on Sunday 13th of November 2011 at 3:00 pm . Refreshments afterwards. Celebrant: Fr. John K. Guiney SJ and homilist Fr. Michael J. Kelly SJ. All Welcome.
- To mark Remembrance Sunday, celebrated this year on November 13, it would be worthwhile to take a look at the Flickr exhibition on ‘World War I: Jesuit Chaplains of the Irish Province’, put together by Province archivist, Damien Burke. The exhibition contains excellent images from the archives, all heavily annotated by Damien.
