Irish Jesuits International have launched their online Chrismas Gift Shop featuring a selection of 18 novel gifts, ranging from nourishing meals for children in Syria and Lebanon to training opportunities for dedicated teachers in South Sudan.
IJI are asking people to give a gift this Christmas that not only brings joy to their loved ones but also helps them to continue their work of protecting the most marginalised of the world in the 12 developing countries where IJI works. “Your generosity, will touch countless lives in the most meaningful ways” says Yanira Romero of IJI. She adds: “When you purchase the gift of a pig, for example, you’re empowering a woman in Maban, South Sudan, with an investment that can sustain her through difficult times. This pig isn’t just livestock—it’s a lifeline, offering security and resilience in a place where traditional safety nets don’t exist.”
