Messenger Publications », the publishing house of the Irish Jesuits, has just released their latest collection of books for autumn 2025 ». The catalogue showcases a wide range of titles, including new and recent releases, on various topics such as care for the earth, pastoral resources, Ignatian and contemporary spirituality, scripture, prayer, and history.
New releases
New releases include A Generous Heart » by Donal Neary SJ, which features daily prayers and reflections written by the author to help the reader “find the atmosphere of eternity in everyday life”.
Brendan Comerford SJ’s book By Way of the Heart » is a reflection on the life and teachings of one of the first members of the Jesuit order, Fr Pierre Favre. The book also provides insights into the early Society of Jesus, and the religious crises at the time of the Counter-Reformation.
Sacred Space », the online prayer website of the Jesuits in Ireland, have the hard copy of their content published by Messenger Publications. The Sacred Space Prayer Book 2026 » is an aid to daily prayer and reflection. It is based on the gospel of the day and features inspirational guidance points informed by the spirituality of Saint Ignatius of Loyola.
Sacred Space have also launched their Advent and Christmas 2025 » book, which invites readers to develop a closer relationship with God during this season of preparation and anticipation. Both books include a daily Scripture reading, points of reflection, prayer, and meditations.
Conversations in the Spirit A Guide to the Synodal Method », by authors Juan A.Guerrero Alves SJ and Óscar Martín López SJ, is translated by Dr. Austen Ivereigh. The book draws together the contributions of Augustine, Cassain and Ignatius, formal documents of the Synod, and examples of conversations of the Spirit in action.
