The Messenger goes digital
When the Messenger Office published Brian Grogan’s book To grow in love this month, they were moving into new territory: in addition to the printed version, it was a digital publication, an e-book, meaning that it could be downloaded and read on an iPad, Sony e-Reader or Kindle. The Messenger Office is the first religious publisher in Ireland to move towards a simultaneous publication of printed books and e-books. The development also means that without any shipping of printed matter, the book can be read anywhere in the world. Religious on the Missions, where it can take some time to receive a printed book, can download Brian’s latest offering in a matter of seconds. In Ireland the most active purchasers of digital hardware like the Kindle are the over-55’s – just the market for this book on the spirituality of aging.
