Three aspects of pilgrimage

André Brouillette SJ is author of The Pilgrim Paradigm: Faith in Motion, and lecturer in theology at Boston College SJ. In recent years he has specialised in the theology and spirituality of pilgrimage. He was the guest speaker at the recent SpIRE (Spirituality Institute of Research and Education in Ireland) conference entitled “Pilgrimage by Land or Sea : Portal to Spiritual Awakening and Eco Awareness”. Pat Coyle caught up with him after the conference and in this interview he speaks about three aspects of pilgrimage namely, embodiment, vulnerability, and memory.
