Youth pilgrimage

André Brouillette SJ, lecturer in Theology at Boston College SJ, speaks with Pat Coyle about his experience leading a group of young students on a pilgrimage through Spain in June 2024. The pilgrimage is part of an undergraduate course he teaches entitled ‘Knowledge, discernment and the experience of pilgrimage’, in which students study the theology, philosophy, and history of pilgrimage in the Christian tradition. They focus particularly on the Camino de Santiago in Spain and then make a pilgrimage together as a class.

André shares what it was like for the young students to put away their phones and travel with only a few items of clothing.
