Christ within: Sacred Space Advent Retreat

The popular online prayer website Sacred Space» will launch their Advent Retreat on Sunday 30 November 2025 and it will run until Christmas Eve, Wednesday 24 December 2025.

The theme of the retreat is ‘Christ living within’. The author is Spiritual director Siobhan Murphy. She facilitates retreats at Loreto schools and at Manresa Jesuit Centre for spirituality. She is also a mother of nine children, and enjoys painting in her spare time.

Commenting on the launch of the retreat, Ciara Ó Catháin, office administrator and content editor of Sacred Space, says “As we journey through these days of Advent, the darkest days of the year, this retreat invites us to ask: How can we move forward and help to bring Christ’s light into the world?” She continues “God’s gaze is always waiting for us, especially in this time of Advent. All we have to do is show up, and love can do the rest. St. Ignatius gazed upon the heaven and stars, and when doing so, felt within himself a powerful urge to serve God. Do we give ourselves time just to pause and wonder and allow our light to shine?”

The online retreat will include a daily scripture reading, reflection on the scripture, a prayer and an image that reflects the theme of the day. It also features a new audio link which allows users to listen to the retreat readings narrated by the author.

The Sacred Space team invite people from all over the world to join this retreat. It is available in a number of languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, French, Italian, German, and Hungarian and is available on the Apple and Android apps.
