GLOW: Girls learn their own worth

In this podcast, Caroline Sanga, program officer at the South Sudan Jesuits Development Office, speaks with Pat Coyle about life and work in South Sudan at present, describing living conditions there as “particularly dire” amid years of conflict, violence, drought, and flooding.

Caroline says that the Jesuit development program is helping those most vulnerable, including schoolchildren, through a program called ‘GLOW’, which stands for “girls learn their own worth”. There is also a scheme put in place to help women become farmers and grow their own produce.
