A record-breaking challenge
December 15, 2022 in News
Hundreds of Belvedere College SJ students are hoping to help the homeless in Ireland this year with a record-breaking annual SleepOut challenge. Some of them will be fasting and sleeping out at the GPO and in College Green Dublin from 22-24 December 2022 inclusive and all the while rattling the buckets to collect money for charities that work with the homeless. Others have already spent some freezing nights in their back garden sleepouts and have already raised over €100,000 online.
Listen here to the boys telling of how they are well up for the challenge of breaking the €250,000 total raised in 2017 and how they’re preparing for city-street sleeping on an empty stomach. They are talking with Pat Coyle of Irish Jesuit Communications.
