Faith in Venice
There are five places left for young Irish adults working in public life or NGO’s to attend the annual Jesuit-run Faith and Politics Seminar in Venice this August. The seminar is for young adults from around the world working in public service and consists of workshops and expert input. It takes place from 14 -21 August 2022 and costs €350 for food and accommodation (flights are not included). Click here to apply for a place in the seminar.
To find out more about the event listen above to Dr Kevin Hargaden of the Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice. He has taken over the role of director of the event from its founder Edmond Grace SJ.
In his interview with Pat Coyle of Irish Jesuit Communications, he talks about the details of this year’s seminar, who it’s for, and how it’s run. He also explains the significance of this year’s theme which is ‘conscience’.
Venice has become part of the seminar, both because of its place in European history and because this was where Ignatius and his companions first gave themselves the name ‘Society of Jesus.’ (see photo of previous seminar).
