Welcoming Ukrainian refugees – Dreams for Belfast Jesuit Centre
Irish Jesuit Gerry Clarke speaks to Pat Coyle of Irish Jesuit Communications about the Belfast Jesuit Centre, a new ministry in Belfast City that hopes to serve people’s spiritual, pastoral and sacramental needs. In this podcast interview, he shares his dreams for the centre in collaboration with other Jesuits and Partners in Mission.
Fr Gerry shares some of the activities that have recently taken place at the centre including the book launch of Fr Brendan McManus’s Channelling the Inner Fire: Ignatian Spirituality in 15 Points and Movies in Holy Week with American Jesuit Fr Jake Martin.
In looking to the future, Fr Gerry talks about initiatives for Ukrainian refugees, Ignatian Spirituality courses, Synodal formation programmes on leadership and discernment, and evening retreats for working people.
