A new word for ‘sin’

Richard Leonard SJ puts religious language through the wringer in his latest book The Law of Love. In this latest in a series of interviews about the book with Pat Coyle of Irish Jesuit Communications, he turns his attention to the word ‘sin’. He says it is at best a meaningless word for many people today, especially younger people. And at worst it’s a term, along with other terms such as ‘guilt’ that can take us down the path of ideology, not dialogue.
