Richard Leonard SJ’s encounters with a supreme court judge and a secular Jew led him to review the ten commandments for his latest book The Law of Love.
In this interview with Pat Coyle of Irish Jesuit Communications, he outlines the thinking of Appleyard in an article the latter wrote (with more than a nod to Vatican 11) entitled ‘The Sinai of the Times’.
And he recounts a challenging head-to-head with a judge concerned about his son’s ignorance of the ten fundamental Judeo-Christian laws.
