A busy time for ‘Educate Magis’
Educate Magis, the online education community that connects teachers and educators from Jesuit and Ignatian schools worldwide, is busy working on several fronts.
Karina Zapata-Roche is the Digital and Communications Marketing Manager with Educate Magis. Read below her latest update with news from around the world of what’s been happening in 2025 and what’s on offer for the Jesuit school community in 2026.
News from the Global Jesuit Education Community
Educators from European countries participated actively as members of Educate Magis in 2025. Several educators from different countries across the Jesuit schools’ network in Europe participated in positive and innovative experiences to continue learning, teaching, and collaborating glocally in the Jesuit educational tradition through Educate Magis. Spain, Italy and Malta are some countries that benefited from global courses, global discernment, and Connected Classrooms for students. The ‘Educate Magis Global Activities and Events Calendar’ for 2026 is now available. This year, through Educate Magis, new global educational experiences will be offered to students through ‘Connected Classrooms’, and various online Ignatian formation opportunities for teachers in our ‘Jesuit Global Network of Schools’ (JGNS). At the request of several members of our global community, the Educate Magis support team will offer an online tutorial for teachers who want to gain a clearer understanding of the pedagogical possibilities offered by the ‘Connected Classrooms’ tool. This new tutorial on Thursday, 19 February 2026, will help them develop confidence in using it in their own educational contexts. Register to participate here »
The Ignatian global cohort courses offered by Educate Magis will begin soon. If you have not yet registered to participate, please do so by clicking the following link to the list of available courses » . All courses will be supported by facilitators, and certificates of completion will be awarded.
If you would like to participate in ‘Educating for Global Collaboration: A Model for Students’, the Secretariat for Education, in collaboration with educators from our JGNS, invites teachers and students already participating in the model, as well as educators interested in learning more, to a meeting on Thursday,12 March 2026.
