When will it all end?

The age group with the largest number of homeless people in it is 0-4 years. The officially registered number of homeless people is 11, 4000. The real figure is around 100,000. Three-quarters of a million Irish people are living in places they do not want to live and/or they cannot call their own home.
So says veteran homelessness campaigner Peter McVerry SJ in this interview with Pat Coyle of Irish Jesuit Communications. How did we get to such a crisis state she asks?
