God speaks to us; are we listening?

Author John Callanan SJ speaks with Pat Coyle about his experiences with spiritual leader, author and psychologist Anthony De Mello SJ. John met De Mello in Ireland many years ago when De Mello taught him how to use the wisdom of the Scriptures by looking at their deeper meaning and incorporating them into his own psychological makeup and day-to-day life. De Mello also introduced him to what John calls “A life-giving prayer style” that has helped him in his current role as a curate in St John the Baptist church in Clontarf, Dublin.

In this interview, John also outlines the different genres De Mello wrote in and the significance of his work for 21st-century spirituality.
